The surroundings of the station are characterized by a heterogeneous, pragmatic development structure. In this environment, PORSCHE has to create its own world.
However, the strategy is not only good urban planning, but something must also „flow over“ to the PORSCHE company – a positive image gain by a company taking responsibility for the future.
What can such a district puzzle look like in the case of the area around the train station? The urban district will only come to life from the interaction of the various „central“ functions, like an engine that only starts up when everything works together. Large urban developments need pressure so that one part is not already rusty before the last part is installed.
With its existing buildings, PORSCHE is the engine of development and could now step up a gear. In order to bring an urban quality to the periphery around the station, we designed the building as a structure that rotates around itself.
Die Umgebung des Bahnhofs ist geprägt durch eine heterogene, pragmatische Bebauungsstruktur. In diesem Umfeld muss sich PORSCHE seine eigene Welt erschaffen.
Die Strategie ist jedoch nicht nur guter Städtebau, sondern es muss auch etwas zum Unternehmen PORSCHE „hinüberfließen“ – ein positiver Imagegewinn indem ein Konzern Verantwortung für die Zukunft übernimmt.
Wie kann so ein Stadtteilpuzzle im Falle des Bahnhofsumfeld aussehen? Leben wird das Stadtquartier nur aus dem Zusammenwirken der verschiedenen „zentralen“ Funktionen, wie ein Motor, der erst anspringt, wenn alles zusammenwirkt. Große städtebauliche Entwicklungen brauchen Druck, damit nicht der eine Teil schon verrostet ist, bevor der letzte Teil eingebaut wird.
PORSCHE ist mit seinen bestehenden Bauten der Motor der Entwicklung und könnte jetzt noch einen Gang zulegen. Um eine urbane Qualität in die Peripherie um den Bahnhof zu bringen, haben wir das Gebäude als einen um sich selbst drehenden Bauköper konzipiert.
